Substance Education Resource Offered to AAU Members

LAKE BUENA VISTA,FL— The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Strength Sports has partnered with The National Center for Drug Free Sports to offer all AAU athletes, coaches and parents the use of a program that can be used as an educational tool to provide research information on substances used to enhance performance that may be banned by the NCAA, United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Athletes, coaches and parents can research information and confidentially ask questions online to clinical professionals who can provide information and drug testing to athletes throughout the country at all levels for college and professional sports.

The National Center for Drug Free Sports will provide information about the effects, dangers and composition of a supplement or vitamin that may or may not create a positive drug test result. This information is either on file at The National Center or they will research your request and provide an answer directly to you at NO COST.

AAU Strength Sports (Powerlifting, Weightlifting and Feats of Strength) have been committed to providing drug free events and competition for many years. We have been working with the Center to provide this service to AAU Powerlifters for some time. Now, we are pleased to announce that we have extended the contract to make this service available to ALL AAU members at no additional cost.

For more information about this valuable resource, find information on a specific substance or to ask a question, visit: www.drugfreesport.org, password: RECAAU (must enter all caps).
